Tool: Decision making for Gender Transformative Evaluation

A gender transformative evaluation enables or contributes towards positive change towards gender
equality, while also empowering the stakeholders involved in the evaluation process. It should be
designed and implemented in a way that “stimulates” gender equality for shared control of resources,
decision-making and women’s empowerment. Gender transformative evaluation is inclusive and
participatory, and allows for the participation of a wide scope of stakeholders (particularly those
considered to be marginalised).
