Rebecca Goldberg

Rebecca is an aspiring Industrial and Organisational Psychologist with a Bachelor of Social Science in Gender Studies (African Feminist Studies, with distinction) and Organisational Psychology (cum laude) and an Honours in Organisational Psychology from the University of Cape Town (UCT). She brings a diverse research skillset that blends people-focused, participatory, reciprocal and intersectional practices from Gender Studies with evidence-based, strategic and mixed-methods approaches from Organisational Psychology. Over the past year Rebecca has focused on impact assessments and evaluation, helping organisations understand what works and how to measure meaningful change. She is passionate about organisational transformation that advances equity, inclusion and dignity at work, with strong commitment to women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights. Rebecca’s long-term career goal is to shape policy and advocate for survivors and victims of sexual assault and harassment, particularly those who experience harm in workplace settings, by translating research and evaluation into practical, systemic solutions.

Prior to working at Southern Hemisphere Rebecca worked as a tutor and class representative in the Department of Organisational Psychology, as well as the Department of History at UCT where she was exposed to facilitation, grading, and program development. She spent her Honours year immersed in Change Consulting and Evaluation, where she was exposed to a variety of stakeholders with differing levels of complexity and impact. Rebecca strives to merge the theoretical with the practical, dedicating herself to the mission of meaningful transformation.
