George Mosima

George Mosima is an Emerging Evaluator at Southern Hemisphere, where he contributes to research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning assignments across the public sector, education, governance, and social development fields. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Governance with Politics and Public Administration (cum laude), a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Public Management and Governance, and is currently completing a Master’s in Public Administration at Stellenbosch University, specialising in Monitoring and Evaluation, Research Methodology, Risk Management, and Project Management.

George has built a strong foundation in research, academic administration, and evaluation practice through diverse roles across universities and public institutions. Prior to joining Southern Hemisphere, he lectured first-year Philosophy at North-West University, where he designed and delivered course content to the student, facilitated discussions, and supported student learning. He also served as a Teaching Assistant at Stellenbosch University, providing assessment support, grading, and admissions assistance for postgraduate programmes. His work at the School of Public Leadership included strategic communications, content development, event promotion, and stakeholder engagement.

George’s interest in evidence-informed decision-making was further strengthened through his experience with Monitoring and Evaluation modules at Stellenbosch University, where he gained hands-on exposure to M&E tools, data analysis, and framework development. His academic research background includes work on emerging technologies in water management, exploring the viability of AI, IoT, big data, blockchain, and smart metering in improving municipal water systems in South Africa. Additionally, he brings practical administrative and educational support experience from his roles within the Gauteng Department of Education and Suncrest High School.
